Wembley event days: frequently asked questions

Yes. Inside the event day zone, parking without a valid permit during restricted hours is a contravention, and enforcement on event days is active rather than occasional. Depending on the contravention that is a £110 or £160 penalty charge, halved if you pay within 14 days. Your vehicle can also be removed, which costs more again. Full detail on charges and hours.

Probably not, but we cannot promise it. The statutory traffic notice that creates the event day scheme is titled "Wembley Stadium Events" and does not mention the Arena anywhere in it, and Brent's own event days list is built from Stadium dates only. That is real evidence, but it is not a formal exclusion, so the full picture is here. Check before you travel on Brent Council's restrictions page.

What is clear: when an Arena event falls on the same day as a stadium event, the stadium restrictions are in force regardless of which venue you are attending.

The start time is what varies: 8am on the main roads to the stadium, generally 10am in residential areas outside a controlled parking zone, 8am inside the Event Day Protective Parking Scheme zones, 10am in zone SA, and zone T is restricted 24 hours. Yes. Every date in a run is its own event day, including the ones in the middle. Where an act plays several nights we group them into a single entry showing the first date, the last date and the total number of dates, and list every individual date underneath so you can check your own. No. Visitor permits are bought by residents of the zone for their own visitors, and are not a way for event attendees to buy their way in. The permit types are resident, visitor, business, and place of worship or school, all applied for through RingGo.

It depends whether you live in the zone or are attending. Residents of twelve named shared parking bay zones can get a free Resident Blue Badge Permit through RingGo. Visitors can book an accessible space in the Blue or Red car park at a reduced rate. An ordinary Blue Badge on its own does not get you into the residents-only zone on a street that isn't yours. The council does not enforce parking on private or unadopted roads, so a council penalty charge is not the risk there. The landowner or managing agent may enforce their own rules, including clamping or removal. Residents on private roads inside the area can still buy a council permit if they want one.

Motorcycles park free and without a time limit, unless that specific bay has been suspended. Bay suspensions are common around large events, so read the signage on the bay rather than assuming.

We re-read both venues' own event listings several times a day and compare them with what we recorded last time. When a date moves, appears or disappears we mark it on the entry and record it on the changes page, rather than silently editing the list. The venue's own page is always the authority: we are reporting what changed there.

Event listings are refreshed automatically several times a day, and the footer of every page shows when they were last confirmed. If our automatic check stops working, the site says so at the top of the page rather than continuing to show stale dates as if they were fresh.
