Having visitors on a Wembley Event Day
The short answer. Brent's scheme lets a visitor park on your street on a Wembley Event Day with its event day Visitor Permit, displayed in the car. Brent is plain about the alternative: parking without a permit means a ticket, and the car may be removed.
Who can buy one. Residents who live in the event day zone but outside a Controlled Parking Zone. Residents of a private road in the zone cannot buy Visitor Permits.
What you get:

- a paper permit, bought through your Brent parking account on RingGo
Showing it. The permit must be clearly displayed inside the car, so that every detail on it can be seen from outside. Your own Resident Permit works differently: it is virtual, so there is nothing to display, and parking attendants check it against Brent's permit database.
It is for your visitors only. Brent's permit terms say permits are not transferable and Visitor Permits are not for resale. They can only be used by bona fide visitors visiting the permit holder. Selling one, or lending it to someone going to the event, breaks those terms.
Arriving early does not help. The restriction covers every car on the street during its hours, whenever it arrived. On a Residential Street outside a CPZ, a visitor who parks at 9am without a permit is in breach from 10am.
If you live in a Controlled Parking Zone. Event day Visitor Permits are not sold to addresses inside a Controlled Parking Zone. On Wembley Event Days, the Controlled Parking Zones within the event day zone run from 8am to midnight, zone SA from 10am, and zone T all day, every day.
Without a permit, plan around the date. We plan family visits around Wembley Event Days. On any other day, the parking bays on our street are far emptier.
A driveway is different. Brent enforces the event day restrictions only on the public highway, so a private driveway sits outside them. Renting a resident's driveway through an app such as JustPark is off-street parking, so the council's event day ticket does not reach it.
