Jacksonville Jaguars: An NFL Sunday That Is a Wembley Event Day
What it is. The Houston Texans play the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 18 October, with kick-off at 14:30. The Jaguars are the home side, and up to 90,000 people can attend.
A regular fixture. The Jaguars have played regular-season games at Wembley since 2013, so this is a date the area has seen before.
A Wembley Event Day. Brent Council has listed the 18th as a Wembley Event Day, so the Event Day Permit Scheme is in force.
The day's timings:
- 8am: Main Roads become permit holders only
- 09:00: Boxpark's NFL fanpark opens
- 10am: Residential Streets become permit holders only
- 14:30: kick-off
- 23:00: the fanpark closes
- Midnight: the restrictions end on both
The nine o'clock trap. The fanpark opens an hour before the Residential Streets restrictions start. A car parked on one of them at nine for the fanpark is in a permit-only street from ten until midnight.
After the match. The fanpark stays open until 23:00, hours after the final whistle, and the restrictions run for another hour after that.
Two windows, neither tied to a venue. The Main Roads close to non-permit parking before anything in Wembley Park has opened. Both sets of restrictions outlast Boxpark's closing time.
Coming for the match. On-street parking in the zone is for permit holders only on the day, so plan to arrive without a car.
