England Women v Ukraine: A World Cup Place at Stake on a Wembley Event Day
What it is. England Women play Ukraine at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 5 December 2026, with kick-off at 17:30. A place at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 is at stake.
The second leg. It is the second leg of a two-legged play-off tie. The first leg is at a neutral venue in the week before.
How England got here. The 2025 European champions beat Greece 8-1 on aggregate in the first round: 3-1 in Crete and 5-0 in Leicester.
Is it a Wembley Event Day? Yes. Brent Council lists the match and says the Event Day Permit Scheme will be enforced for it.
The hours on the 5th:
- Main Roads: permit holders only from 8am to midnight
- Residential Streets: permit holders only from 10am to midnight
Seven and a half hours. That is the gap between the Residential Streets restrictions starting at 10am and kick-off at 17:30. The restrictions then run on until midnight.
No street drinking. Brent and its partners will enforce a no street drinking zone on Olympic Way and the surrounding area for this match.
A shared Saturday. Placebo play OVO Arena Wembley the same day, on their 30th anniversary tour, so the stadium and the Arena both have something on.
The weekend around it. Razorlight play the Arena on Friday 4 December and Andra on Sunday 6 December. Wembley Stadium has no event on either day.
