On the ground

Kick-off is 19:45 on a working Thursday, which puts 90,000 people on the same trains as everyone coming home from work. That is the whole story of this date. The Czechia game in October has the same problem; this is the third England fixture of the autumn and the last one listed. The fanpark at Boxpark opens at 11:00, so Olympic Way has a football crowd on it from late morning, eight hours before the first whistle. The residential restriction window starts at 10am, an hour before that. If you are a resident, the day is already an event day before lunch, whatever the evening looks like.

The Arena has Omah Lay the same night. The Arena has not published a start time, so how the two crowds overlap is an open question until it does; the card above will show the time when the venue posts it. High School Musical is in its season at Troubadour, which opened on 12 October and runs into January.

The card above says whether the match is sold out. A crowd short of capacity still fills the zone; the restriction does not scale with ticket sales.

Boxpark stays open until 23:00, well after the match ends, so the walk back to Wembley Park station does not empty out when the stadium does. On a Thursday that can make the last hour of the evening busier than the last hour of a Saturday game: the people who stayed for a drink are the same people who have work in the morning, and they tend to leave at once.
