TOKIO HOTEL at OVO Arena Wembley

By Wednesday the Arena has already done three nights on the bounce, and it has two left. The Rock Orchestra on the Sunday, Jay Park on the Monday, DEADLY LIVE! on the Tuesday afternoon, TOKIO HOTEL on the Wednesday, Sunil Grover on the Thursday. Five shows, five days, around 12,500 people at a time, and no two of them at the same hour. This one is at 18:00, so the crowd is arriving against the back end of the midweek commute rather than the peak of it. The Arena Tour, if you want the billing.

What a week like this does is cumulative rather than dramatic. No single night is worse than an ordinary Arena night; it is that the station, the takeaways and the pavement outside Boxpark get no gap between them. If you live on the walking route from Wembley Park, the difference between one show and five is that you stop noticing the individual ones.

The card above has no restriction rows, and the same holds for all five nights. High School Musical is playing its season at Troubadour throughout, and Boxpark has nothing listed for the 28th.

One practical consequence. If you need to have a car in the zone this week, any of the five days works the same as the others, which is not true of a stadium week.

The outlier in the run is the Tuesday: DEADLY LIVE! starts at 14:00, so that crowd has come and gone before the evening. Every other night of the five, this one included, lands in the commute.
