Macklemore at OVO Arena Wembley

Macklemore is an American rapper, and Macklemore & Friends is a benefit concert: Macklemore with guest artists, and the venue says all proceeds go to organisations that support Palestinians. It is at OVO Arena Wembley on Friday 30 October, doors at 18:00, in an Arena that holds up to 12,500 people.

Nothing is on at Wembley Stadium on the 30th, so it is not a Wembley Event Day, and the Residential Streets keep their ordinary rules. There is no stadium date anywhere in that week, so the Event Day Permit Scheme does not come into it.

The Friday has two crowds in it. Boxpark's Remember Them Dayz, its Halloween night, runs from 18:00 to 23:00, the same hour the Arena opens its doors, so both crowds arrive on Olympic Way together.

It is also the sixth day in a row with an Arena crowd. The run starts with The Rock Orchestra on Sunday 25 October and ends with Synthony on Sunday 1 November, with Tamer Hosny on the Saturday in between. The Friday is the last day of half-term for Brent's community schools, which are off from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October.

For a resident, the useful fact is the timing. From six o'clock, two crowds are heading the same way at once. The Arena gives a finish time of 23:00, the same hour Boxpark's Halloween night ends, so the two crowds leave together as well. If the car needs to move on the 30th, move it before then; the rules on your street are the ordinary ones all day, and it is only the traffic that is not.
