Jay Park at OVO Arena Wembley

A Monday, and the worst possible start time for it. Jay Park goes on at 18:30, which drops around 12,500 people into Wembley Park station at the exact hour that everyone who works in central London is trying to get home. Every other night of this Arena week is easier to arrive at than this one.

LNGSHOT are the special guests. The card above has no restriction rows for this date. Nothing at Boxpark either, though Mondays are not dead there as a rule: the BYOB Poetry nights run on some of them, and neither of the two listed falls on this date. High School Musical's season at Troubadour is open across the road, though the theatre publishes a run rather than a night-by-night schedule, so this page cannot tell you whether it plays that Monday.

Coming to the show: give yourself longer than the map says. The Jubilee line into Wembley Park at half past five on a weekday is busy before a single ticket holder joins it, and the walk up Olympic Way is slower than it looks when the concourse is full.

Living here: the roads are fine. What you will notice is the station and the twenty minutes after the show finishes, not the kerb outside your house.

This is the second of five consecutive Arena nights, and the only one that runs straight into rush hour.

The night after is stranger still: DEADLY LIVE! starts at 14:00 on the Tuesday, an afternoon show that empties before the commute rather than into it. Same venue, same capacity, a completely different day for anyone living on the route.
